So this Tuesday, I got the latest Due East page up — Page 18 of Book 4. This is also the last “flashback” page. After this, we go back to the present and back to inks and colors. I think I’ll be up to more regular pages for a while. I’ve been quite inspired lately, artistically.

Interestingly enough, we more or less have the story and dialogue written through the end of Book 4. In fact, we’ve started working on Book 5 already, planning and script-wise.

I still need to add commenting capability to all the archive pages, although at least it’s in place for all of Book 1.

I’ll keep you updated…

For all intent and purposes, the website is now complete! All the pages exist and are functional! Woohoo!!!

I still need to add commenting capability to all of the archive but I can do that gradually in the weeks to come. Having all the pages in place, however, gives me a great sense of completion and accomplishment.

I’m finally working on the “About The Authors” page!

With Angel’s help, I’ve written initial draft text and I’m most of the way through the pencils for the page’s artwork. Hopefully we’ll have something by this weekend.

Yes, one new “filler” page is online this week and another is in the works. I’ve penciled and inked it. All that remains is to scan, letter and computer-color it.

I was getting as tired as everyone else of not seeing an update on Due East, so um, I made an update. Not part of any official storyline, and actually a bit of an Off Hours tie-in, but still a lot of fun and challenging to draw. The next filler will be in ink and in color!

A lot more of the site is online now. I have some more HTML to write and some graphics to make, but it feels good to have the majority of the site completed.

It’s not quite ready to go “public” but it’s close!

Happy Fathers Day to all the dads!

Here is the start of Due East’s own blog. I guess this will be where I write news and happenings and what not. I debated just having the latest writings on the main page of the site but that would make it get longer and longer over time…and that wouldn’t look too good.  Besides, on the blog, both my wife and I can write, you can comment and it gives the site another nice section.

I just finished setting up the forum, where we can directly discuss specific topics, etc. All in all, the site’s come together very nicely in a short period of time.

I’ll write more as soon as I can (and as soon as I think of something meaningful to relate).
